A Neuropsychologist has specialized training for evaluating and treating children and adults with disorders affecting brain function, development, behavior and learning. Clinical Neuropsychologists are trained in assessment, diagnosis, treatment, cognitive rehabilitation and training for patients with neurological, medical, developmental, learning, cognitive and psychiatric disorders. Neuropsychologists use psychological, neurological, cognitive, behavioral, and physiological techniques and tests to evaluate normal and abnormal brain function and behavior. This information is used to assist in diagnosing and treating neuropsychological and developmental disorders and to plan and implement medical, educational and vocational interventions.
