The goal of cognitive rehabilitation and training is to provide patients with opportunities to learn and practice skills that impair functional abilities and to achieve the highest level of function for individuals with neurocognitive deficits.Therapy sessions are one hour and occur once or twice a week for a minimum of twelve weeks. Records of progress are made at two week intervals to determine treatment success and further individualize treatment. Cognitive rehabilitation and training is covered by most insurance programs.
