Cognitive rehabilitation is a specialized type of therapy that utilizes an individualized program to retrain brain functions that do not function normally because of acquired diseases or developmental disabilities. Procedures involve a series of exercises designed to enhance: memory, attention and concentration, motor function, planning, organization, time management, and socialization. The goal is designed to achieve the highest level of functioning in individuals with neurocognitive difficulties.
